Parasitic Skies out of Seattle, WA have a new full length on the horizon, and it's a definite step forward from their 2009 Demo. Overall, the sound has taken a slightly darker turn, while maintaining their sound that comes off as a cross between Catharsis and the Swarm with a few Crowbar-esque riffs thrown into the mix. The new record has 8 tracks, clocks in right around 22 minutes, and provides a good blend of speed and chunk. Some of the stand out tracks on The Descent are "Choke", "Torch Smoke", and "The Altar of Defeat".
