Now that a scanner has entered my household again, more diverse content should start rolling back to the site, and what better way to kick off during the holidays than with the Excursion Wishbook from 1992? Well concealed cash, or money orders only!

As a bonus, here's a one page ad for Overkill, Incision and Excursion Records from 1994.

Here's another gem from the DAT archive of releases that were scheduled to come out on Overkill Records.

Bowel featured the Melnicks, Tony Pines and Mean Steve.  I would say that it can be best described as the Melnick's tongue-in-cheek take on early 90's death metal/grindcore with some excellent mid-paced stomp parts thrown in as well.

After Overkill Records folded, Rotten Fecal Duct was released on Dark Empire Records as an 8 track cd that also had an unreleased record from The Guns tacked on at the end.  An interesting bit to note here is that this DAT tape contains 8 tracks, but only lists 6 in the handwritten notes.  Combine that with the 2 minutes of silence prior to tracks 7/8, and I'm lead to believe that McDonalds Massacre and Enema Abortion were originally intended to be hidden tracks on the Overkill release, as opposed to the regularly listed tracks they became on the Dark Empire version.

With all that said, here's Bowel - Rotten Fecal Duct remastered from the master DAT tape.

Now that we're all aware that the Systems Overload lineup of Integrity are playing the A389 Records bash in January, some more great news has come to light in the form of a new track recorded by said lineup.

A snippet of  Beyond The Realm Of The VVitch can now be heard on the A389 bandcamp page, and a one sided 7" will be released in time for the bash with a skull etched b-side.

Integrity will be reuniting with the lineup from the classic record, "Systems Overload" for a one-time show at the A389 Records Anniversary Show. I don't know about you but I'm pretty stoked on this (granted, I won't be attending but I look forward to seeing the footage). Many people (myself included) consider the Melnick material to be the best Integrity material (To Die For was pretty damn awesome though, just sayin) so it'll be pretty cool to see how it turns out.

You can read all about the show over at Ear Split Compound. As soon as we hear about a full lineup, we'll get it posted.

Norway's hardcore machine, Lash Out, has announced plans for a reunion show with Integrity in January 2011. The band has also announced plans for the release of a "new" album which is actually an unreleased album that was recorded in 1998 called "The Judas Breed". This will be a 2xCD as well as a 32 page booklet. Here's a statement from the band regarding the show and the upcoming release:

"Right, it's official. LASH OUT has been offered to play a one-off show with US hardcore legend INTEGRITY in Oslo the 15th of january 2010 at club Elm Street. The club houses 250 people only, so be fast. Norwegian nekromantik newcomers OKKULTOKRATI will also play at the show.
The Judas Breed record will finally be unleashed upon mankind on Get By Records on 2xCD digipack with a 32-page uncoated booklet. Hopefully this will happen for the show and includes The Darkest Hour and Worn Path 12"/MCDs, demoes, The Unloved & Hated 7", the split 7" with swedish Burst, the split CD with Norwegian Ambition and finally The Judas Breed(Footnote: This is not a complete discography) album recorded back in 1998 which never saw the light of day - until now."

Pretty exciting stuff. I hope this makes up for my leaving the band off of my European Hardcore post last year. The band also has a Facebook page which seems to be updated a little more often than the Myspace page so check it out and keep up with whats happening with the band.

One of the best late 80's/early 90s Clevo hardcore bands, Confront were one of the bands that really brought a sense of "hard" to hardcore. Members would go on to form the band everyone in the 90's loved to hate, One Life Crew. This discography of sorts features the track "Our Fight" which was re-recorded by One Life Crew for their "Crime-Ridden Society" LP. The original release of their 7 inch "Payday" was pressed by Dark Empire Records in the US and Dutch East India Trading in Europe, the same label that released Integrity's "Those Who Fear Tomorrow" and was limited to a 6 song record. This release on (your friendly neighborhood) Lost & Found Records took those 6 songs plus their comp tracks and a live set and released "One Life Drug Free" in 1994 right as One Life Crew was really gaining steam. To the best of my knowledge, this is everything the band recorded (sans a demo if there is one), so if there is more to update, let me know and Ill do so accordingly.
I ripped this from the original CD source at VBR setting and scanned the cover so its a nice high-res image. Check it out.
