If you check old zine ads for Ron Brotherhood's old label, Overkill Records, you'll see that Bloodlet's "Eclectic" record was originally slated to come out through him. In the mid-90s, Ron spent lots of time on the road, tour managing for the likes of Orange 9mm and Seaweed. At a Seaweed show in Tampa, FL, Ron was approached by Charlie of Bloodlet, who had just recently put out the Husk 7" on Structure Records. Later, they sent...

From the same show as the XCLEARX set that I uploaded a little while back, here's Triphammer playing the Stage 4 Theater in Portland, OR on 4/4/98. I only got to see them twice, but they were always great, and the singer's nose gushed blood from the time he opened his mouth to scream at both shows.

Still Above Snakes is a fairly new band from Vancouver BC, Canada that features ex-members of Burden, Death Sentence, xAbstainx, Fratricide, Head Start and more. They recently recorded a five track demo, and have put it up on bandcamp. There's a pretty heavy NYHC vibe throughout the demo, and the production is crisp enough to keep it sounding fresh.

Integrity will be reuniting with the lineup from the classic record, "Systems Overload" for a one-time show at the A389 Records Anniversary Show. I don't know about you but I'm pretty stoked on this (granted, I won't be attending but I look forward to seeing the footage). Many people (myself included) consider the Melnick material to be the best Integrity material (To Die For was pretty damn awesome though, just sayin) so it'll be pretty cool to...

So after a little bit of a shuffle, it looks like the Unrestrained 12 inch will be released by our good friend Chris, the mastermind behind Atlas Shrugged and Trip Machine Laboratories. The record is going to be called "Forward Onto Death" and will feature a cover that I am beyond excited about.
Trip Machine has previously worked with the band on their split 7 inch with Incendiary and the band is excited to continue that relationship. The recording...

Like a lot of hardcore kids in the 90's I collected fliers due to the fact that it was the only way to find out about shows. We weren't on the internet or our phones 24/7, we would go the record stores and see what fliers were there and that's how we got our information. That being said, I have a pretty large stack of fliers that used to be all over my walls. I occasionally post them on my instagram account (vinylxdenim) so here's a few if you haven't...

At The Dead Unknown's reunion show last Friday, an old friend handed me a hi-8 tape of a show from 2002 that I've been hoping would be unearthed for the last 11 years. Portland's scene was slowly growing again during the early 2000s, but the turnout for the Hope Conspiracy / Most Precious Blood / Bleeding Through show was more than any of us that put on shows ever expected. Bleeding Through is the only full set, but video of all four...

Far formed in 1991 in Sacramento, Ca. and made a name for themselves as a unique emotional but powerful band, compared at times to Deftones. After the band broke up around 1999, frontman Jonah Matranga had a solo project called Onelinedrawing. Needless to say, I am really excited that these 2 great albums are being pressed on vinyl for the first time ever. They were originally released in 1996 (tin cans) and 1998 (water and solutions). I've...
