Morning Again To Play Bloodaxe Fest In Japan

Morning Again will be once again heading overseas, this time to Japan for the first time. The band will be playing this years Bloodaxe Fest which will be held in Kawasaki on September 21. Heaven Shall Burn will be headlining. You can check out the flyer for the fest below.

Loyal To The Grave Posts New Video

My dudes in Loyal To The Grave just posted the video for their new song "Weakness". Check it out if you have the chance...they'll be making their way over to California next month so if you can make it, do so. Oh did I mention they signed to Eulogy Recordings? New album out in 2011.

Loyal To The Grave Member Changes, New Song and Bloodaxe Festival 2010

I got an email from both of my dudes in Loyal To The Grave, Koba and Hiro, letting me know that they had a new song posted. I was pretty excited because after years of playing bass for Loyal, Koba had moved to vocals. He had previously been the singer for Unboy and while I do enjoy the band, that style wasn't the same as Loyal. Needless to say, his voice is killer and I'm real excited to hear the new material. The song is only a demo version so the quality isn't incredible but it shows the progression of the band as well showcases Koba's vocals. Someone needs to get these guys over to the US already. While I'm on the subject of Loyal To The Grave, this coming weekend in Tokyo is Bloodaxe Festival 2010, the yearly festival that the guys put together. This year's headliners are Heaven Shall Burn, Another Victim and Thick As Blood. The fest is SOLD OUT so congratulations to my friends for putting this whole thing together and continuing to put Japanese hardcore on the map.

Tokyo Bound Tomorrow...6 AM

As of 6 AM tomorrow morning, I will be making my second trip to beautiful Tokyo, Japan. Because of this, my participation will be minimal if at all for the next two weeks. As was the case last year, I will be scouring the record stores in Tokyo to find the best hardcore I can. Joining me on my mission will be Dobek Ohashi, author of CrucialxTimes. While there, Im also going to be hanging out with the dudes from Crystal Lake and Loyal to the Grave as well as catching Shai Hulud and Endzweck in Shibuya. Ill have plenty of pictures so be on the look out for that. Hope everyone has a great two weeks.

Stuck In The Past Worldwide Distro

So I've made it official: Ive started my distro. The purpose of this is to sell my friends bands music in America, a place where people still are not as receptive to foreign bands. The main problem is foreign shipping. The cost that Americans have to spend to receive an order tends to equal or exceed the cost of whatever they order so by buying in bulk or making large orders through the labels, I can cut down on the cost and help expose great bands to new ears. Currently, I have an order coming in from the Retribution Network in Tokyo and I will placing an order with Caboose Recordings from Tokyo, Alliance Trax from Tokyo, Self True Records from Moscow, and Goodlife Recordings from Belgium. I plan on contacting individual bands about acquiring their music as well as smaller labels but I have to start small and plan on building this up. I don't know if this idea of mine will work or if I will end up in debt but I know there are so many great bands out there that are not getting the exposure they deserve just because their records are not available in the US.
