Party Squad Podcast

My buddy Jason hit me up to let me know he and his friend Miller have launched their podcast "Party Squad Podcast". For those of you that don't know Jason has done time on the drums in Powerhouse (FL), Where Fear and Weapons Meet, Judas Factor, 108 and a slew of others. Always something interesting to say, this thing is pretty much the anti-PC but it's quite funny so check it out of have a chance. The newest episode went live tonight and discusses musical idols.

Where Fear And Weapons Meet Interview: Open Zine #11

You may or may not know that from 2002 to 2004, I played guitar for the third incarnation of Where Fear and Weapons Meet. The band broke up in 2001 then decided to get back together and asked me to play second guitar. I had been friends with them before they started the band and was a fan so naturally I joined. This interview was originally printed in Open Zine #11, a South Florida based zine in the 90s and early 2000s. Not incredibly long but it gives insight into what the band was up to at the time (Fall 2001). The incarnations of the band are:
1. John - guitar, Jason - drums, Ryan - bass, Alex - vocals.
2. Tim and Scott - guitar, Jesse - bass, Jason - drums, Joe - vocals
3. John and Chip - guitar, Dan - bass, Jason - drums, Alex - vocals

The Rebirth of Hardcore 1999

Possibly the last great comp to come out in the 90s, this was put together by Ray Cappo and released on his Supersoul imprint. Featuring some of the best youth crew revival bands of the 90s, this comp was released also as a beautiful picture disc. Unfortunately, this comp has been out of print for a while which is terrible. Almost everything on this comp is exclusive and features one of the best covers (Where Fear and Weapons Meet covering 7 Seconds "I Still Believe"). Rain on the Parade, Shelter, Eyeball, Fastbreak, In My Eyes, Battery, Ten Yard Fight...seriously great comp. I would'nt be surprised if someone reissues this eventually.
