Tradition and Revelation Records are proud to present the book release part for Burning Fight: The Nineties Hardcore Revolution in Ethics, Politics, Spirit, and Sound. Nineties hardcore sparked profound change and debate acrss musical, social, spiritual, and political landscapes and Burning Fight draws upon the memories of many who played influential roles in the scene and understand what made this era of hardcore so unique.
This event will feature a Q&A with the author, Brian Peterson, along with Mike Hartsfield (Outspoken), Dave McClure (Downcast), Ryan Downey (Burn It Down), Vique Martin (Simba Fanzine), and more. There will ben an art show featuring a collection of photos, flyers, T-shirts, and more as well as guest DJ's spinning 90's hardcore all night.
There will also be a limited edition Burning Fight X Tradition X Revelation Records T-shirt release as well as a limited 'zine with unreleased excerpts from the book. It all goes down at Tradition on October 10th.

This is for you guys out there who love your Christian hardcore. So you may be saying "Who the hell is Set Apart"? Set Apart was the other Christian hardcore band in South Florida, the previous being Strongarm. Very nice guys who, unlike many Christian bands and followers, supported all bands, not just the Christian ones. These tracks were from a split CD with Tampa's Chalice and while the recording is not incredible, the songs are good. Very reminiscent of Strongarm's sound, in that its technical and melodic but still moshy. Make sure to check out track 4 "Proven Wrong" which bears a VERY strong resemblance to Strongarm's "Stand Together". Again, I am not a big fan of Christian hardcore but there are the few bands that stood out. These guys eventually broke up and the singer, Jason, started Glasseater. The band's last bass player, Anthony, would also join Glasseater.

Hey everybody
Im glad everyone has enjoyed the zines we've uploaded recently. I have more that Ive scanned and will upload but I havent been able to scan all of them. Mainly the reason is the way they are stapled sometimes prevents a good scan. It makes very difficult to get all of the content...also being that the issues are not mine, I dont want to take out the staples. Ive done the best I could to scan the interviews and anything else important in the issues but may have no scanned the entire issue. We appreciate the feedback and I just wanted to let you guys know how that was going.

Crank Call Fanzine...basically its exactly what you think it is. 2 guys from California crank calling random people in different bands, usually getting a family member as opposed to the band member. Someone told me it was some of the guys from Strife, but don't quote me on that. This was done in the early 90s judging by the bands involved, and its pretty damn funny. I scanned the entire zine and uploaded it to mediafire so you can download the entire thing. Make sure to check out the reviews section for no holds barred reviews of records. I wonder if they did a second issue...Id love to read it.
