So as most people know, Im a huge merch hound so naturally I went to Burning Fight with high hopes of picking up merch to add to my collection. I was genuinely disappointed in the lack of merch that the reuniting bands produced (most had none to speak of) but a few of the bands came through and heres what I scored. Shirts For a Cure was selling an Unbroken design but if no one told you it was Unbroken you wouldnt have been able to tell, so I didnt get that. I heard they are going to sell it on their site though so Im waiting on that.

You think that's bad? At the No For An Answer/A Chorus Of Disapproval reunion show in March, there was NO merch whatsoever. No less than 5 people who asked me to buy shirts for 'em were heartbroken when they found this out.

yeah because after all, hc is about shopping right? i mean, i can see lamenting the absence of zines or record distros but shirts? isn't this the point that ian was trying to make w/ fugazi? that its about music and ideas not merchandising?

Some people collect records...I collect shirts

what's wrong with people wanting to collect a piece of hardcore history aside from just buying records and cd's? selling shirts is a way for many bands to support themselves out on tour and most bands do it DIY so if Mr. McKaye is sooooo above "hardcore show shoppers" and "merchandising" then why can you buy the entire Discord catalog as well as Minor Threat shirts at places like "Hot Topic"? Yep, thats realllll hardcore. Think about that smart guy.
