EDGE - Perspectives on Drug Free Culture traces the Straight Edge subculture from its early roots in the beginning of the 1980s to this day by drawing a very differentiated and diverse picture through in-depth interviews with 12 individuals. The documentary takes the viewer behind and beyond the scenes of Straight Edge. Artists, Musicians, activists and the people that shaped the idea from the beginning, such as Ian Mackaye (Minor Threat/Fugazi), Ray Cappo (Youth of Today/Shelter) and Karl Buechner (Earth Crisis), give witness to their perception of the history of Straight Edge and comment on the praise and criticism.

So far, the feature length documentary about Straight Edge was screened in more than 60 cities in North America, Europe and Asia. EDGE was in the Official Selection for the Mission Underground Film Festival in San Francisco, the Radar International Film Festival in Hamburg, Germany and the Raw Cut Film Festivsal in Warsaw, Poland.

i am glad that this is a far better look into straight edge then what was shown on gangland. then again, gangland wasn't shown from inside what real straight edge is and not some tough guys who end up breaking.

I was and continue to be disappointed in this movie. The interviews are good but it's done by outsiders with a lack of style...I mean looking up straight on wikipedia as part of the movie, come on.
