Holy shit, I can't believe we finally were able to track this down. I had been trying to find this since I heard it in 2007 and after many unsuccessful attempts, Mike Scoville (guitarist) replied to my thread on the Bridge 9 messageboard and provided a download link. A little backstory...the band got back together and re-recorded 3 songs from the "God Loves, Man Kills" with Rob on vocals instead of Jon Peters, with new lyrics. Mike also provided a song that he recorded for a school project with Rob on vocals, Derrick on drums, and Im assuming he did everything else. Now heres to hoping the band will play some shows...Finally, after all this searching, here is the long sought after 2006 demo "Rob Loves, Man Kills".

NEW LINK!!

Heres the layout for Refused's first full length on We Bite Records. The band was wayyyyy more chugga chugga than their later releases but this is a great starting point for those of you who are interested.

Mouthpiece never really got their due while they were around but now that have played a handful of reunion shows, it seems like kids realized what they were missing. Their discography was released by Revelation Records earlier this year so I neglected to scan the other side of the layout which contains the lyrics.

Heres another great one. The ORIGINAL Culture demo. This was before Damien joined the band as well as John. Also notice they were a 3 piece at the time. 2 of these songs were later released on a 7 inch on Shadowcast Records but the other 2 were only heard on the demo.

Today I have something special for you. This is the early Endpoint discography, spanning their beginnings as Deathwatch in 1987 to the early 90s as Endpoint, THE band out of Louisville in the 90s. This CD was released on Slamdek Records and compiles the following:

Tracks 1-17: "If The Spirits Are Willings" cassette on Slamdek Records (1989)
Track 18: Blank
Tracks 19-20: Their tracks from the Endpoint/Sunspring Split (1991)
Track 21: Appeared on Slamdek's Christmas Compilation
Tracks 22-26: Recorded under the name Deathwatch, the Deathwatch Demo (1988)

It was ripped at a high quality and I have also included a nice high quality scan of the back cover and the cover which includes a brief history of the band according to Duncan Barlow. Enjoy.

Classic comp featuring Burn, Gorilla Biscuits, No Escape, and Turning Point. This was re-released in the mid 90s by Temperance Records and has been out of print since. Great comp...they sure don't make em like they used to.

This may be my favorite Cave In song ever written and its never even gotten a proper release. From what I understand, it was recorded during the Creative Eclipses era but never released. Half the song has screaming, half the song sounds like Jupiter. Great song.

I want to preface this by saying the recording on this is not good nor is the quality of the copy I have. Here we have the original Cave In demo released in 1996 I believe (maybe 1995). 4 songs that would later be recorded for various 7 inches. This also features their original singer Jay on vocals.

This is where Morning Again really started to shift their sound, sounding less like Culture and more like Morning Again (if that makes sense). These tracks were later collected and included on the release of "Hand of the Martyr" released by Eulogy Recordings. Also, I love that fact that Joe played guitar on this recording but that is definitely not a picture of him.

Did a scan of the Excessive Force layout while I was home. If anyone needed the lyrics, here you go. If you missed the previous post with a link to download the album, click here for it.

This is just my opinion but had Turmoil been on a different label, they would have been huge (bigger than they were). No offense to Century Media in any way, shape, or form but had they they been on Victory or Trustkill in the mid to late 90s they would have blown up. The band live was seriously untouchable. So much energy and great performers...not often does this transfer over to the studio but in the case of "The Process Of..." it did. Here is definitely where the band profited from being on Century Media. A very clean, crisp sound that sounds HUGE. Even now, 10 years after it was released, the record still sound enormous. They really set the tone for the rest of the record with the first song "Playing Dead" and its opening line "What the fuck are you looking at?" The record also contains my personal favorite song "Fear of Falling Down" as well as "Six Demon Bag". The band set out and toured on the record but chose to call it quits in 2000, playing a cut-short set at Hellfest 2000, only getting through 3 songs before the club began to collapse (no Im not exaggerating). They have since reformed and have written a new record with now singer Nate Johnson who replaced Jon Gula. Gula, in my opinion, is one of the best frontmen in hardcore and is not easily replaced so Im looking forward to seeing how the record comes out. The bands discography was released a few years back on Abacus Records and can be purchased here: Turmoil "Staring Back" Discography

Sorry for the lack of updates recently but here we are, back on track. Today I bring you the first CD offering from Philadelphia's Ink & Dagger. While never a big fan. I respected what they did based solely on the fact that it was different than what everyone else was doing. They had a very dark and mysterious mystique about them and claimed to be vampires. I saw them twice and was bummed because they didnt dress up in the corpse paint...oh well. The band broke up in 1999 and singer Sean McCabe was found dead shortly after. This record was released by the now defunct Initial Records and has been out of print since.

Someone on the Catalyst board asked if anyone had the lyrics to the Lifeforce EP...luckily I had scanned it while I was home visiting so here it is. To be honest, I don't know much about the band other than that the band was from Germany, vegan straight edge, and the singer sounds like Satan crawled down his throat. If you'd like to hear the EP, click here.
