I have virtually zero information about this band. This cd came to me via my old friend Sam, who was running a music and straight edge shirt distro out of Spokane, WA. He was folding operations, so he sent me a large box with all kinds of stuff, and in it was this Moment of Truth cd. I've often tried to track down information about them over the years, but I've always come up empty handed. The contact info places them in Fairport, NY, which is a little bit outside of Rochester. The list of bands that they thank/played with is filled with great bands like: Chokehold, Brother's Keeper, Despair, Hourglass, and Snapcase. The 9 songs presented on this cd were written at various times between 1991 and 1995, and they have that great early-mid 90's mix of chug parts and fast parts that are reminiscent of Chokehold and Slugfest. Check it out, and if you have any info on these guys, including if they went onto other bands, please post in the comments, or shoot us an email.

I think some of them went into a band called Shotakon, not a sXe band at all. They were a fun band to watch especially when they were trashed. I think the singer feel off the stage 13 times at one show.

The drummer went on to be in a band called Fall Guy.

Does the CD list the band members? I'm pretty sure that this band featured a dude named Jamie on drums who lived in Erie, PA for a time and later went on to play on Hatebreed's "Satisfaction..." CD and Death Threat's first 2 CDs. Amazing drummer that helped define the genres breakdowns.

Moment of Truth was actually from Rochester, New York. All of the members have moved on to different bands over the years. Greg Walsh, the vocalist was a professional BMX rider, and then went on to start his own components company called Coalition BMX with M.O.T guitarist Aaron Burto as the art director. Greg and Aaron also run Hell on Earth, which is a clothing company and show promotion company based out of Rochester, NY. They sponsor bands such as Terror, Ringworm, Achilles, Lamb of God, and others, as well as BMX riders, Skateboarders, and Mixed Martial Arts fighters. they also help promote MMA fighting events. Greg is an avid mixed martial artist and currently runs his own gym under the banner of The Wolf Brigade. Check out www.hellonearthcult.com www.fightfitness.net www.wolfbrigade.net to see more. Aaron Burto went on to play in A Death Between Seasons, Colossus of Rails, and most recently tech metal band Lazers, with members form the grind core band Kalibas. Jim Callahan, the drummer, is currently playing with a couple different bands around the Rochester area, and is a professional sound engineer by trade. He was in fact in a band called Fallguy for a couple of years, but left the band to pursue his career. Chris Vandewater, the other guitar player, is a geologist living in the midwest, and is still actively involved in the music scene. Jeff Valone, the bassist, is currently living in Vermont and is playing in a funk band or something along those lines. Jim, Greg, and Aaron are still quite active in the hardcore scene, and have no plans of ever walking away. There is actually two Moment of Truth reunion shows scheduled for July 2009 in Rochester NY.
